Peak Self-Activation™

When a connection brings out an expanded version of you.

Peak Self-Activation™ describes what can happen when a connection rapidly activates a heightened experience of yourself—you may feel more open, alive, confident, creative, connected, or emotionally available.

The connection can feel extraordinary partly because you’re not only experiencing the other person differently—you’re also experiencing yourself differently in their presence.

When the connection changes or ends, you may therefore grieve more than the person. You may also grieve the version of yourself that seemed to come alive with them.

The framework shifts the question from:

“Why does losing this person feel like I’m losing part of myself?”

to:

“What did this connection activate in me—and how can I reclaim those parts as my own?”

Peak Self-Activation™ was developed by Rachel Oliver, MSW, RSW, creator of The Modern Love Method™.
